Péter Kiss is a distinguished and indispensable figure of Hungarian musical life. He presents the nobility of classical music with such directness and vitality that he creates a genuine bond between the audience and the masterpieces. This very quality makes him an outstanding chamber partner, an inspiring teacher, and a first-choice interpreter for world-renowned composers.

He is a professor of the Chamber Music Department at the Liszt Academy of Music, where he also earned his degree and was habilitated. In addition to major European venues and festivals, he has performed in Chicago, Cleveland, Santiago de Chile, New Delhi, and Beijing.

He has shared the stage with distinguished musicians and composers such as Steve Reich, László Fenyő, Csaba Klenyán, and Péter Szűcs. A regular guest of the UMZE Ensemble. He has premiered works by Péter Eötvös in several countries, with whom he also maintained a close professional collaboration. His doctoral dissertation was devoted to György Kurtág’s Játékok.

Together with his friends Dániel Szendrey and Péter Háry, he founded Trio Inception, a unique horn–cello–piano formation that performs an exclusively dedicated repertoire.

He is a multiple recipient of the Fischer Annie Scholarship and has been honored with both the Junior Prima and Artisjus Prizes. In addition, he was awarded third prize at the Hungarian Radio Piano Competition, along with several other national and international competition prizes.
