Moment’s Notice Quartet

Kornél Fekete-Kovács (trumpet)
László Gőz (trombone)
Miklós Lukács (cimbalom)
György Kurtág Jr. (electronics)

Born in 2015, Moment’s Notice began as a trio exploring the realms of sound art through a unique blend of acoustic instruments and electronic effects. With the addition of Kornél Fekete-Kovács in 2024, the ensemble evolved into a quartet. Together, the four musicians are leading figures in Hungary’s contemporary music scene, each bringing a distinctive voice to their sensitive and ever-changing chamber music dialogue. Taking the stage with little more than a basic framework, they shape their music spontaneously, revealing unexpected connections between jazz, classical, contemporary and electronic music. The works of György Kurtág are a recurring point of reference for the quartet, both in their authentic interpretation and as a source of inspiration for their own musical explorations.
