Márton Mikulik, pianist, is a versatile artist whose work bridges solo performance, chamber music, pedagogy, and research. With a vibrant artistry that unites technical brilliance and expressive depth, he has established himself as one of Hungary’s most promising young musicians.
He currently teaches piano and works as a répétiteur at the Bartók Béla Secondary School of Music in Budapest. As a soloist, he has already appeared with leading Hungarian ensembles such as the Danubia Orchestra, Era Nova, and the Gödöllő Symphony Orchestra. His recital career has taken him to prestigious stages including the Grand Hall and Solti Hall of the Liszt Academy, the Budapest Music Center, the Bartók Hall of the Institute for Musicology, the Solitär concert hall in Salzburg, and the Royal Palace of Gödöllő. He has also been a guest of the Liszt Festival in Gödöllő and the Kollegium Musicum Festival in Pommersfelden, where Bayerischer Rundfunk broadcast his solo performance. He made his UK debut at the Budleigh Music Festival with a piano duo, and he is a founding member of the Trio Giocoso piano trio.
Márton is a laureate of several national competitions, including the 17th National Ernő Dohnányi Chamber Music Competition, the 8th National Chamber Music Competition in Szeged, the Alba Regia National Chamber Music Competition, and the 9th National Piano Duo and Two-Piano Competition. In 2024, as a recipient of the New National Excellence Program Scholarship, he carried out research entitled Visions in the Mirror of Debussy and Ravel. That same year he was awarded the Körösfői Kreisch Aladár Prize and the UNKP Grant, further underlining his standing as an exceptional talent of his generation.
