Flóra Csőke | cellist

flóra Csőke is one of the most outstanding and internationally acclaimed cellists of her generation.

She is the principal cellist of the Danubia Orchestra in Budapest and a postgraduate student of Rafael Rosenfeld at the Musik Akademie Basel, where she also earned her second master’s degree.

As a soloist, she has performed at the helm of orchestras such as the Sinfonieorchester Basel, Anima Musicae, the Liszt Ferenc Chamber Orchestra, and the Slovak Chamber Orchestra. As principal cellist, she regularly deputizes for the International Youth Orchestra Bayreuth, Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra, EUYO, the Orchestra of the Basel Music Academy, and the Festival Academy Budapest. She has won apprenticeships and trial positions with the Karlsruhe Opera Orchestra, the Mannheim Philharmonic, Zurich Tonhalle, and the Frankfurt HR Symphony, where she continues to be invited back. She has shared the stage with renowned artists including László Fenyő, Barnabás Kelemen, and Andreas Ottensamer.

In 2019, she received the Junior Prima Award and has been the recipient of numerous international scholarships, including the Bank of China Scholarship. She is a first-prize winner at the Jacob School Summer Academy, the Music Festival Hermann, the Richard Wagner Competition in Bayreuth, and the Royal Academy of Salin competitions.
