Benjámin forgó | pianist
Benjámin Forgó, pianist, is a dynamic young artist whose performances combine intellectual refinement with a strong sense of character. With a repertoire ranging from the classical canon to the great works of the 20th century, he has become a distinctive voice among the emerging generation of Hungarian pianists.
He is a regular guest at Hungary’s most prestigious concert halls, including the Kodály Centre in Pécs, the Grand Hall and Solti Hall of the Liszt Academy, and the Budapest Music Center. As a soloist he has appeared with the Pannon Philharmonic, and he made his UK debut at the Budleigh Music Festival with a piano duo. Deeply committed to contemporary music, he frequently programs works by such defining Hungarian composers as György Kurtág and György Ligeti.
Benjámin has been recognized at numerous piano competitions: he is the Grand Prize and Debussy Prize winner of the National Secondary School Piano Competition in Békéscsaba, a finalist of the Weiner Leó National Chamber Music Competition, and in 2024 reached the live rounds of the Piano Campus International Competition in Paris.
